Why You Should Consider a Quartz Worktop
When it comes to worktops, you can’t get much better than a natural stone worktop. At Aspire Stone Fabrications, we have a range of stone worktops available, falling into three main categories: granite, marble and quartz. Whilst all three are high-quality options, each have slightly different properties that may benefit you more, depending on how you use your kitchen.
The Visual Style
As well as a range of beneficial technical properties, a key reason why quartz worktops are a popular choice is because of their stunning appearance. No matter which style you choose from, each one can elevate the look and feel of your kitchen, offering a high-quality finish and a premium feel.
At Aspire Stone there are a number to choose from in our quartz collection, meaning you’re sure to find one that perfectly compliments your taste. These range from bright whites such as Ice White and Prosecco, to natural colours such as Pacific Surf and Calacatta Costa. Options like Cold Spring and Belgravia have a great marbling effect; whilst White Diamond, Grey Diamond and Black Diamond have a shiny dappled look.
Low Maintenance
Another benefit of quartz worktops is the level of maintenance required to keep your work surface in the very best condition. At Aspire Stone, our quartz worktops are made with 93% quartz and 7% resin, and because of the resins used during fabrication, it makes the work surface non-porous. This has the additional benefit of making the worktop virtually stain-proof.
The non-porous nature means you won’t have to worry about sealing or resealing your work surface, like you may have to do with other natural stone options. Quartz work surfaces are also scratch-resistant, meaning the surface itself can be kept in a visually-appealing condition.
High Durability
As your work surface will have to combat whatever a kitchen can throw at it, it’s only natural that your stone worktop should have high levels of durability to manage this. Because of the quality of the quartz we use at Aspire Stone, it means the quartz work surface is highly resistant to chipping. Quartz tends to have high levels of flexural strength along with resistance to impacts, meaning it can survive even the biggest kitchen mishaps.
In addition to its strength, quartz also has resistance to stains and scratches, meaning you can keep your quartz work surface in a good condition, without it easily degrading over time. By ensuring a high level of durability, it means the investment you make in a quartz worksurface will become good value for years of usage.
